About
Helping Families, Athletes, and Individuals Live and Move Better
I grew up in the Chicago suburbs with five siblings—four brothers and one sister, spanning 20 years. From an early age, I was active in competitive sports, participating in soccer, volleyball, track, tennis, baseball, softball, and basketball. And when I wasn't competing on the field, I was usually competing with one of my brothers!
Being good was never quite enough for me. I have always believed in striving to improve, learning from experience, and giving my best to whatever I do. That mindset has continued to shape both my life and my approach to chiropractic care.
How I Found Chiropractic
I always knew I wanted to become a doctor, and originally planned to become a pediatrician because I loved working with children. That changed after a personal experience with chiropractic care following an athletic injury.
After struggling to find answers and relief through traditional medical care, chiropractic care made a meaningful difference in my own life. That experience introduced me to a different approach to health and changed the direction of my career.
I decided that I wanted to help other people experience the same kind of care that had helped me.
Education & Experience
I graduated from Butler University with degrees in Biology and Chemistry before continuing my education at the National College of Chiropractic in Lombard, Illinois.
My education provided a strong foundation in anatomy, physiology, biomechanics, and the relationship between the spine, nervous system, muscles, and movement. Since graduating, I have continued to expand my education and experience so I can provide individualized chiropractic care for patients of all ages.
After my daughter was born in 2000, I completed an eight-month program in Chiropractic Pediatrics and earned my certification in pediatric chiropractic care.
Chiropractic Care for Active Families
My own background in sports has given me a particular appreciation for working with athletes and active individuals. At 18, an overuse injury forced me to step away from competitive sports. Chiropractic care played an important role in helping me become active again, and that experience sparked my passion for helping other athletes.
That passion eventually led me to serve as the team chiropractor for the Duncanville High School varsity football team. Working with young athletes reinforced how important proper movement, mobility, injury care, and recovery can be for people who want to stay active.
Today, I enjoy working with patients at every stage of life—from children and families to athletes and active adults. My goal is always to understand the individual patient rather than take a one-size-fits-all approach.
Why I Became a Chiropractor
Over the years, I have had the opportunity to see chiropractic care make a difference in the lives of many of my patients, as well as my own family and friends.
I believe good chiropractic care begins with listening to the patient, understanding their goals, and developing an approach that fits their individual needs. Whether you are dealing with back or neck discomfort, recovering from an injury, looking to stay active, or simply want to take a more proactive approach to your health, I want to help you reach your goals.
At THE Chiropractor, I strive to create a welcoming environment where individuals and families can receive personalized care from someone who genuinely enjoys getting to know her patients.
Life Outside the Office
When I'm not at the office, life is rarely boring! I enjoy playing and watching sports, spending time outdoors, and hanging out with our chickens and dogs.
Most importantly, I enjoy spending time with my husband, Keith, and our daughter, Kaela.
I look forward to getting to know you and your family and helping you along your journey toward better health and movement.
